The Frankenspline Creepies (#23 and #24)

A new design of creepies with walnut splines giving the appearance of stitching – hence the name given to these stools.

Frankenspline Scottish creepie stools in oak with walnut splines. Made by Iain Stirling of Chapelhill Fine Furniture.

Made from my own Scottish Dumfriesshire oak, these are thick and quite heavy in comparison to other earlier creepies. The legs, skirts and top are joined using mitre joints. The splines are in walnut and both strengthen and decorate the joints. One of the creepies has straight splines and in the other they are angled.

Dimensions: H 260 x W 450 x D 245 mm.
