Olive Ash and Mahogany Creepie (#11)

With the Glenkinchie Distillery Christmas Fayre on the horizon, I finally was able to use up some of my olive ash offcuts to make a pair of creepies. I was also gifted some old mahogany tables from which I was able to reclaim some lovely coloured pieces that I could use for the skirts. I added a mahogany stripe in the middle of the top of the second creepie of the pair.

The olive ash is full of ripple and crazy grain patterning and I have used walnut dowels for detail and keyholes for the leg shape.

Nb: The National Museum of Scotland website has a nice wee article about creepies if you would like to know more about this furniture type.
