In the summer I had a lovely wee commission to make a creepie to be gifted as a wedding present. The customer had been on holiday to Orkney and had come across creepies there. Then, having returned to the mainland, they came across my website and asked me to make a custom creepie. A heart shaped finger-hole was requested in the top and the wedding date was to be hand-carved in the side skirt.
I used my own olive ash and specially selected some rippled pieces for the top edges. The side skirts are my own elm and the date was carefully carved onto one of the sides. Here is the finished article:
