Descending from Ben Vorlich the other day, a wee flock of small birds flew over my head twittering away to themselves. Not knowing what they were, I whipped out the Merlin app and it told me they were Redpolls - a small finch. Perfect, I thought. And that's the name I have given to my new coffee table.

During the making of the latticework for the legs of the Buzzard console table, I happened to have them lying on their sides, and I thought to myself that with a top they would make a nice coffee table. And that's the origin of the "Birdcage" Coffee Table.
